This summer, we are offering virtual courses on Wednesdays only, from July 8 - August 5, 2026.
For more than 30 years, JASA NextAct (formerly Sundays at JASA) has offered college-level continuing education for seniors. For the past five years, the program has included virtual courses serving students nationwide and abroad. And now NextAct offers cultural excursions for seniors throughout the city. We believe that learning continues throughout a lifetime.
Letter From The Director
JASA NextAct is a world-class adult continuing education program that has served seniors in the NYC metro area and throughout the nation for more than 25 years, offering a variety of topics that nurture our intellectual curiosity. We take great pride in offering courses that you’re unlikely to find anywhere else, as well as familiar subjects that come with our own unique twist.
It is our mission to provide fun, interesting, and challenging courses for our students. A community-based academic structure is at the core of this program. Our experienced faculty encourage students to join in the discussion and ask the difficult questions. We aim to create a collaborative environment for students to learn about themselves and the world in which we live.
We look forward to seeing you this summer in our virtual classrooms online during the week. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in multiple classes each semester.
With generous support from students, JASA board members, and staff, we are thrilled to be able to provide high-quality education courses to seniors who want to nurture their intellectual curiosity.
